Campaign Launch Playbook

Check the whole journey before the campaign goes live.

A launch review should follow the customer from the first message to the response after an action. Use this sequence to catch mismatched promises and broken handoffs before spending time or budget on traffic.

Run one complete customer journey.

Assign an owner for the review and a place to record issues.

  1. 01

    Confirm the brief

Check the audience, offer, goal, budget boundaries, approvals, and timing against the final materials.

  2. 02

    Follow every destination

Open each ad, email, social, or referral link. Confirm the page matches the promise and works on a small screen.

  3. 03

    Complete the action safely

Review the form, booking, or purchase path using an approved test method. Do not create real leads or orders without authorization.

  4. 04

    Check the handoff

Verify what the responsible team receives and what the customer is told to expect.

  5. 05

    Validate measurement

Confirm the intended action is recorded once and carries the context needed for review.

Decide whether the campaign is ready.

Do not treat every issue as equal.

  1. 01

    Blockers

Resolve broken actions, inaccurate claims, missing permissions, and misleading offers before launch.

  2. 02

    Known limitations

Record non-blocking issues, their owner, and the planned response.

  3. 03

    Recovery

Know who can pause the campaign and what to do if the destination or handoff fails.

Keep checking after release.

A preview does not prove the public experience. Recheck live destinations, permissions, forms, and measurement after publication using a safe verification method. Review the first responses for quality and routing, not just volume.

Save the final assets, approvals, and launch notes in a shared location. That record makes the next campaign easier to review and prevents the team from repeating a solved mistake.

Useful follow-up questions

Should we test with real customer information?

Use approved test data and a safe test route wherever possible. Real submissions, messages, payments, or orders need explicit authorization and a plan for handling the consequences.
